Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteCalvin C. Murray (1907-2001) served as Dean of the College of Agriculture at the University of Georgia from 1950 to 1968 where he developed and directed the teaching, research and extension programs in Georgia. He helped establish the Georgia Crop Improvement Association and a statewide soil testing program, organized the Georgia Plan Food Educational Society and created the Georgia Agribusiness Council. He served in many capacities in the International Development Program and became Emeritus Regents Professor, Dean of Agriculture, University of Georgia. Scope and ContentThis collection consists of administrative files, including correspondence, memoranda, and publications documenting the College of Agriculture, Extension Services, and Experiment Stations throughout Georgia, as well as international agricultural programs including Aid for International Development, Food and Agriculture Organization and International Cooperative Alliance.
