The Inspector's book is a listing of construction work, damages and repair costs at the University of Georgia. Included are notes of work done at the dorms, the library and at the Botanical Gardens. Scope and ContentThe Inspector's book dates from 1831 to 1844. It includes listings of construction, and various damages and repairs around Campus. Many of the repairs are centered around student dorms and are a result of student activities. For example, numerous students were fined for broken window panes and one young man wrote all over his room's walls. In addition, another student damaged his dorm when he shot off a gun inside the room.
