Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteTeaching has been a fundamental mission of the University for over two centuries. The department of Instructional Research and Development is currently known as the Center for Teaching and Learning. It brings instructional technologies, classroom support and educational development into one collective unit. Scope and ContentThis collection is divided into two series: Catalog-course materials (1964-1966) and Phosphate Mining Study (1968-1971). Series 1: Catalog-course materials consists of professors' applications for new classes or changes to existing ones. These descriptions were placed in the catalog listing of classes. Series 2 Phosphate Mining Study has documention regarding the proposed leasing of state-owned lands for Phosphate Mining. This series has things such as legal documents, materials related to public hearings and press notices. The final report is also included.
