Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteIn the mid 1960s at the University of Georgia, the Women's Student Government Association (WSGA) saw it's mission as one designed to preserve and promote the interest and prestige of women at the University. All female students were automatically enrolled in this organization which oversaw the increasingly controversal rules governing their behavior and dress during this time period. Scope and ContentThis collection consists of a scrapbook dating from 1962 to 1967 that was deposited by Louise McBee who was the Dean of Women during that time. Included in the scrapbook are articles and surveys that reflect the changing societial norms relating to college age women in the 1960s.
