Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteThe Spec Towns Track Scholarship Endowment is a fund set up to provide an endowed scholarship for a deserving student-athlete on the men's track team. The scholarship is awarded to an upperclassman who exemplifies the competitive spirt and work ethic that Coach Spec Towns demonstrated. In addition, this recipient should demonstrate a commitment to the classroom, while conducting himself in a way, both on and off the track, which brings honor to the University of Georgia.
