Scope and ContentThe Harry E. Harman III scrapbook collection consists of four scrapbooks created by Harry Harman III. One of the scrapbooks focuses on his father, Harry Harman II, who was a star player on the University of Georgia football and baseball teams in the early 20th century. This scrapbook mostly deals with the senior Harman's 1908 athletic season. The other three scrapbooks were also created by the younger Harman and feature his athletic career from 1926 through 1937. The two early scrapbooks feature Harry's high school sports career at Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry, Virginia. One of these scrapbooks includes correspondence from various coaches (including Georgia's coach H.J. Stegeman) to Harmon. The fourth scrapbook is devoted to Harry's athletic endeavors at the University of Georgia. In addition to the scrapbooks, also included is the younger Harmon's Southeastern Conference high jump medal from 1937. Administrative InformationPreferred CitationHarry E.
