The books were created and arranged by "Subject Matter Specialists" with the goal of "developing home demonstration projects and activities with farm families, particularly women and girls, to the end that farm family living shall be improved. There is definite information for county home demonstration agents, demonstrators and program planning committee." Scope and ContentThe Plans for Cooperative Home Demonstration work with farm families-Georgia books cover the years 1944-1946, 1948-1960. There were a number of well-known Cooperative Extension agents, including Leila Mize, who contributed to the books. These planning books where full of useful information that was designed to help improve the lives of farm families, particularly that of women and girls.
