Collection DescriptionBiographical/historical noteDr. Sylvia Hutchinson is a Professor Emerita of Higher Education and Reading Education at the University of Georgia. Before her retirement, Dr. Hutchinson served in multiple administrative roles in addition to her faculty responsibilities. These roles included serving as Coordinator of the Post-doctoral Teaching Fellows Program and as Associate Dean of the College of Education. Since 2013, she has served as Director of Academic Partnerships and Initiatives through the University's Division of Student Affairs. UGA Today-2013 Scope and ContentThis collection consists of a large amount of correspondence along with English department and (various) program documentation, photographs and newspaper/journal articles. The dates range from 1957 to 2012. Organization and ArrangementThe collection is arranged into eight series. Within those series the material is placed in chronological order.
