Collection DescriptionBiographical/historical noteJ. Thomas Bowen started his career with the University of Georgia in 1971 and worked there for 33 years until his retirement in March of 2004. He earned his doctoral degree in higher education from the University of Georgia while a staff member for the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Bowen's career included being the Associate Vice President in charge of campus space management and facilities planning. He also taught undergraduate and graduate management courses in the Institute of Higher Education at UGA. Scope and ContentJ.
