Collection DescriptionHistorical NoteRichard Hyatt (1944-) is an author and journalist from Atlanta, Georgia. He began as a sports writer at the Atlanta Times and later the Atlanta Constitution. In 1972, he became the sports editor at the Columbus Enquirer, where he later became the city editor, associate editor, senior writer, and a columnist. In addition to his journalism work, Hyatt has authored fifteen non-fiction books that focus on Georgia, sports, and politcal figures. Scope and ContentThis collection consists of Richard Hyatt's research files from Zell: The Governor Who Gave Georgia Hope and Mr. Speaker: The Biography of Tom Murphy.
