Also included in the collection are war ration books presented to William Tate, Susan Barrow Tate, Benjamin Barrow Tate, and William Jefferson Tate of Athens, Georgia (1942-1943); and Russell A. Price, Helen B. Price, Kenneth E. Price, and Harold L. Price of Frostburg, Maryland (1942-1943).

Transcripts, dated 1936-1939, are in multiple formats, and mostly contain name of person interviewed, date of interview (or date of interview submission), date of birth, and name of research worker, editor or author. Interviews recount experiences of being enslaved, and are full of anecdotes, folklore, and authentic history. The collection also contains information concerning the organization and design of the original interview structure.
