Johnson Publishing Company between 1899-1906 regarding the posthumous publication of the book "Wallannah: A Colonial Romance" by Will Loftin Hargrave. First folder includes correspondence between 1899-1900, two copies of the publication contract, and a letter from B.W. Hargrave's mother concerning the title of the book. Second folder includes correspondence between 1901-1906, including a letter from Henry Groves Connor, a lawyer and United States federal judge, and a letter from Marshall DeLancey Haywood, a historian and author from Raleigh, North Carolina. Includes an original copy of the book.

Montgomery Curtis, a close friend and former vice-president at Knight-Ridder Newspapers, Inc. Contains correspondence, documents, and articles from both Don and Carolyn's careers in journalism and photojournalism and also reflects their lifelong close relationship with the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Collection consists of many letters and other materials showing their involvement in politics, namely Jimmy Carter's tenure as Governor of Georgia and his presidency.

Folder one contains correspondence from several different members of the Connally family, including Tom Connally, Delia Connally, and L. Allen Connally. Folder two contains correspondence from, to, or regarding Charles P. Connally. Folder three contains legal documents originating in Walker County, Georgia, such as a mortgage, warranty title deed, receipts of payment, a document showing the approval of a substitute to serve in the Confederate army for W.L. Connally in 1862, and a document showing the agreement of three men to pay W.L Connally $10,000 in 1866, although no reason is given. Folder four contains legal documents originating in Fulton County, such as a property title for Mrs. Mattie O. Davis, letters testamentary for Mrs. Mary Connally, last will and testament of W.L Connally, and quit-claim deed between Pauline Propst and Mrs. Tott S. Connally, and two documents pertaining to the last will and testament of Mrs. W.L Connally. Folder five contains newspapers clippings, most of which concern Charles P. Connally's promotion to police chief. Folder six contains photographs of multiple family members, most of which have been identified. Folders seven and eight contain photographs of women and men, most unidentified. Folder nine contains genealogical records and research done by members of the Connally family, such as marriage records, a brief biography of Elijah Lewis Connally, family histories, and poems and stories by T.S. Connally.

The collection consists of a journal and a Chapin family record which spans the years 1760-1962. The journal is a history of his experiences in the Atlanta Campaign, where he was wounded at the base of Kennesaw Mountain on 20 June 1864. It appears to have been written while he was convalescing at the hospital in Quincy, Illinois. Also of note is a page from the journal being a handwritten diploma from 26 June 1862 for Charlotte A. Cothran of Rome, Georgia, possibly indicating that the journal was taken when Chapin was in occupied Rome.

Collection includes a broadside and letter sent by Union soldier James Himrod to his niece. The letter describes Thanksgiving Day festivities at Fort Pulaski. After describing the food and festivities, he comments on the scandalous behavior of some of the officers and offers his opinion of commanding Generals McClellan and Burnside. Also included is a broadside for the Grand Thanksgiving Fete and Festival, November 27th, 1862.
