University of Georgia (Athens, Ga.) mostly discussing family news, inquiring about school or Stokes' studies, and activities
of literary or social societies. The collection also contains a letter to William S. Stokes from Robert T. Ware (November
1819) describing Ware's trip to Staten Island (N.Y.), quarantine, arrival in Philadelphia (Pa.), and illness; a speech (1845)
on patriotism and U.S. history celebrating the 4th of July; and printed material.
