The collection consists of sixteen photographs of exterior views of African American schools in Monroe County, Georgia, several
including students and educators standing outside of the schools. Four photographs include captions: "Monroe county, February
26, 1934-June 30, 1935"; "Schools of [super]visor J. H. Benjamin"; "Demonstration School, Forsyth, Georgia, Summer, 1934,
part of the first grade"; "Demonstration School, Forsyth, Georgia, Summer, 1934, Grades 1-7." The collection also includes:
a ticket stub to Bailey's Theatres, Atlanta, Georgia, August 22, 1935; photograph of the Log Cabin Country Life Center in
Mayfield, Georgia; newspaper clipping regarding Jessie Howe, a graduate of Clarinda high school; and a newspaper clipping
regarding Mrs. J. Benjamin.

This collection consists of the papers of Dr. Stanley W. Lindberg, the longtime editor of The Georgia Review. His correspondence
with many well-known authors such Robert Penn Warren and Pat Conroy is found in the collection. In addition, there are documents
related to the "Roots in Georgia" Literary Symposium of 1985. Materials associated with the 1996 Atlanta Olympics such as
those concerning the Cultural Olympiad. Many of Lindberg's writings and speeches are here including those on the subjects
of the McGuffey Eclectic Readers and U.S. copyright issues. Documents from his work before 1977 include materials from Lindberg's
research toward his University of Pennsylvania Ph.D. dissertation on the subject of Samuel Johnson. There are also items from
Lindberg's time as an editor with the Ohio Review.

The collection consists of a costume, masks, marionettes, and a handful of costume designs by Charles Berliner. The costume
(a dress and hat) and designs are for the 1996 National Theatre of the Deaf production of The Italian Straw Hat. The masks
and marionettes are from a production of Faust that Berliner helped design at Brandeis University in 1971, and represent the
seven deadly sins, as well as Faust and Gretchen. Additionally there is a framed costume design Berliner made for Bill T.
Jones for the Bacchae Project.

quartz, and soapstone. Included in the collection is a 1941 mineral survey map of Hall County, Georgia.

home in Brookyn, New York. In the letters, Chapman tells her of his lodgings, his attempts to support himself by selling maps
and books, his thoughts on the war, and his advice on how to manage the household and finances. He also describes getting
his passport and the steamboat trip to Canada. By reading newspapers, he is able to keep up with the draft news. The last
two letters are written from Vermont as Chapman prepares to come home.
