A videotape from 1933 about the Radford family is contained in an oversized box.

The collection consists of three photograph albums (including cabinet cards, carte-de-visites, and tintypes) of images of Cobb and related family members. Also in this collection are a scrapbook, photographs, clippings, printed material, certificates pertaining to Tinsley White Rucker III. Most of this material is dated 1960-1962 and pertains to part of the time he was President of Dixon-Powdermaker Furniture Company in Jacksonville, Florida and President of the National Association of Furniture Manufacturers. There are also a few membership cards and certificates of his son Tinsley White Rucker IV. The collection also includes several rolled copies of the Lamar family tree.

The collection consists of correspondence, writings, printed material, photographs, genealogy and financial papers. The correspondence consists mainly of letters between family members, and the personal and business correspondence of Byron Herbert Reece, some were written to him when he was a tuberculosis patient at Battey State Hospital in Rome, Georgia. After Reece's suicide in 1958, much of the correspondence of Eva Mae Reece pertains to memorials to her brother Byron Herbert Reece and copyright renewals of his works.

The collection consists of a Civil War diary kept by James McCulloch from August 1862-April 1963. McCulloch writes from Jacksboro, Tennessee; Barboursville; Richmond, Lexington, Danville, Harrodsburg, Frankfort, Georgetown, and Bryantsville, Kentucky; Dalton, Georgia; Mobile, Alabama; and Vicksburg, Mississippi. Journal entries regard troop movements, weather, food and water rations, and fighting. McCulloch also writes about encounters with secessionists; his frequent sickness and experience of the Army's medical services; and accidental shootings amongst the Confederates.

The collection consists of correspondence of Dr. Erwin James Eldridge and his wife, Emma Eldridge, from 1860-1865. Eldridge writes to his wife from Starkville and Philadelphia, telling her of items that he picked up on the Manassas battlefield, long marches, and officers in battle. Correspondence from Emma to Dr. Eldridge (addressed: Care of Howell Cobb, 16th Georgia Regiment, Richmond, Virginia, and Macon, Georgia), regards news of their home from Americus, Georgia, family matters and a tornado that ripped through town sending slaves and livestock flying through the air. The remaining letters are addressed to Emma, from family and friends displaying concern for Dr. Eldridge and other family members.

The collection consists of a photo album compiled by Mortimer Clasgens. Photographs are captioned, and chronicle Clasgens' time at Camp Karb (Columbus, Ohio, state fairgrounds), Camp Sheridan (outside Montgomery, Alabama), France and Belgium (1917-1918). Photographs depict soldiers at ease, camp life, and civilian scenes around Montgomery. The album includes pictures of family, newspaper clippings, three photos of Ruth Law in an airplane doing aerobatics, and a printed memoriam of Mortimer W. Clasgens.

The collection consists of writings, printed material, maps, clippings, photographs and artifacts. This collection also includes material from Dr. Goff's research including preliminary notes for articles, working copies of Georgia county maps, and the incomplete manuscript for "Off to Alabama." Dr. Goff asked Hemperley to complete some of his writings and this collection contains research and notes pertaining to this project. Aslo included are stone fragments, pottery fragments, 18th century nails, Civil War bullets, and a 19th century brass spike. Georgia maps stamped "Dr. John H. Goff Collection" were removed from this collection and added to the county map folders in the Hargrett Library Map Collection.

The collection consists of biographical information, correspondence, writings, research, and photographs. Majette's only published work (1924) was White Blood, which dealt with race relations. Mistress of a Thousand Slaves is based on the life of Fanny Kemble. Research for the book includes a letter written by Fanny Kemble. Daughters of Men is about Indian tribes on the Sea Islands when the Spanish first came to Georgia. Please God... closely follows Majette's life story. Her writings also include children's stories and poems, some of which are in a scrapbook she made for her granddaughter in 1929.
