Gregory writes about blockading activities off Charleston, S.C., and Savannah, Frederica, St. Simons, and Doboy Sound, Georgia; numerous encounters with Confederate ships and blockade-runners in the North Santee River (S.C.); and raids on several plantations. Three handwritten letters and a bill of sale are laid in the log.
