The Georgiana Vertical Files collection consists of newsclippings on a great variety of topics regarding Georgia, and reflect
a vast range of the state's history from the 1800s to 1998. This portion of the collection contains general topical files.
Clippings were accepted from all sources but the most regular clippings come from the daily newspapers of Athens, Macon, Augusta,
Columbus, Savannah and and the Atlanta metropolitan area, and reflect a focus on those areas.

The promotional/public relations series consists of the general files of the promotions department including advertisements,
tear sheets, marketing files, meeting minutes, and correspondence and memoranda. Material related to Arbitron, Pulse, and
Nielson ratings and surveys and analysis of programming is also located in this series. The contest files include ad copy
for a wide variety of contests, entries, and occassionally photographs of the winners. In 1969, WSB developed the Community
Interest Forum, which addressed broader community concerns and these files include meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports.

This collection consists of the paper documentation of the annual Peabody Awards from its inception in 1940 through the present.
Primarily composed of the entry materials for thousands of radio and television shows to the awards, the collection also contains
entry forms, digests and indexes of entries, elaborate containers that housed entries, program descriptions, Peabody award
publications and brochures, business and office files, and correspondence.
