This collection consists of biographical information, correspondence, photographs, printed material, research files, and writings.
The correspondence is primarily between Betty Sargent and her family and friends from the 1930s until the early 2000s. There
is also material related to the First American-Japanese Student Conference, World War II, and Betty's career with the Georgia
Review. The careers and activities of Robert Dell, William Shirer, and Stefan Lux are documented in the correspondence, research
files, and writings. A portion of the collection documents the Sargent family troubles involving James Sargent's health.
