The collection consists of one letter dated Athens, June 30, 1834, to Alexander H. Stephens in Crawfordville, Georgia, signed
M. L. Barron. Barron, a student at the University of Georgia, writes of other students, college president Dr. Alonzo Church,
and the sectarian difficulties plaguing the college. The last portion of the letter is dated July 2, after Barron has graduated.
He writes, "The scene has very much changed (...) I retract most of what I have said in the first part of this letter."
