The collection consists of Carson McCullers' letter to Michael Fabre, a doctoral student in Wellesley, MA, writing his thesis on "The Life and Work of Richard Wright." McCullers writes in response to his inquiry about her relationship with Wright and wishes Fabre "inspiration for the work you have chosen to do."
