The Inspector's book dates from 1831 to 1844. It includes listings of construction, and various damages and repairs around
Campus. Many of the repairs are centered around student dorms and are a result of student activities. For example, numerous
students were fined for broken window panes and one young man wrote all over his room's walls. In addition, another student
damaged his dorm when he shot off a gun inside the room.

Athens, 1865-1875, which were printed in the local paper by A. L. Hill, who later published them as Annals of Athens. There
are other articles, some by George G. Smith on early Georgia history, much about the Revolution and national history, includes
a list of prisoners kept in Fort at St. Augustine by British in 1780, rolls of soldiers, 1775, from South Carolina, and some
articles concerning early Baptists.

This collection consists of academic and personal material related to Etta Colclough Whelchel. Her diplomas from both the
Georgia Normal and Industrical College (1912) and the University of Georgia (1920) are found in the collection. There is also
information relating the the early years of women students at UGA and Etta's founding, in 1920, of the first Y.W.C.A. on campus.
In addition, Etta's 1924 wedding gown, shoes and gloves are in the collection along with early photographs of both Etta and
her husband, R.F. Whelchel.
