The collection consists of miscellaneous papers of Eugene Muse Mitchell, including a letter (1887), receipt for his first office rent, promissory note (1881), autograph album, report cards from Means High School (1881-1882), reports from the University of Georgia (1882-1885), clippings related to the Mitchell family, two pages of a debate "Whether the Crusades were Beneficial to Europe," (this was the topic debated on May 27, 1881, by the Phi Kappa Society at the University of Georgia). There is a Phi Beta Kappa Society, Alpha Chapter of Georgia certificate dated 1914.There are also three samples of cotton from the Atlanta Cotton Exposition of 1881 labeled as to origin and each is wrapped in a broadside listing the candidates for Alderman and councilmen in the five wards (of Atlanta?). Thirteen photographs including a group photo of UGA law school class of 1885.

The collection consists of genealogy, correspondence, writings, financial papers, printed material, photographs, scrapbooks and sheet music. Most of the correspondence is to Lollie Belle Wylie from other writers, including some famous authors such as Samuel L. Clemens, Richard Harding Davis, Harry Stillwell Edwards, Joel Chandler Harris, Joaquin Miller, and Jack London. There are numerous letters from Orth H. Stein and Henry Wellington Wack. Also included are many letters from Lollie Belle to her daughter Hart. There are several letters of Howell Cobb and T.R.R. Cobb to or about Samuel P. Thurmond. The writings are mainly by Lollie Belle Wylie and include a detailed memoir of her life in the city of Atlanta. The financial papers are primarily promissory notes and receipts of the Ellis family. Some of the sheet music in the collection was composed by Lollie Belle Wylie.

A large portion of the collection is comprised of the correspondence and financial records of Jonathan Jackson "Jack" McCants, Sr. (1845-1920) of Butler, Georgia. Also included are land deeds, titles, surveys, recipts, insurance policies, tax information, and printed material from the Fountain and McCants families, as well as a few letters from the McCrary family.

The collection consists of correspondence (from George H. Keeler, Milton and Louise Keeler, et al), diaries, documents, ledgers, journals, scrapbooks, sheet music, broadsides, newspapers, musical manuscripts, postage stamps, postcards, books on local history, photographs and other related printed ephemera spanning dates from 1817 to the 1960s. The documents mostly relate to the families of George King Camp and George H. Keeler; included are an appointment as Postmaster of Marietta (signed by William Howard Taft, 1910), Cobb County land deeds, Confederate bonds, and receipts. Photographs include a record of Sarah Atwood Camp's travels via steamship; an album of albumen photographs of Florida, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Martinique, Antiqua, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and Cuba; and daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, cartes-de-visite, and tintypes of family members.
