The collection consists of correspondence, writings, printed material, photographs, and financial papers. The correspondence
regards the Dever and Blance families, most are business related involving the Post Office, Internal Revenue Office, land
transfers, the slate quarry and politics. Financial papers make up the major part of the collection, with deeds to land in
Cherokee County (Ga.), which was later divided into Paulding and Polk counties. Several ledgers contain accounts for stores
in Rockmart, Van Wert and Blanceville, and two Forrest Hutchings' farm ledgers list accounts for tenants.
