The collection consists of correspondence, writings, printed material, photographs, and financial papers. The correspondence regards the Dever and Blance families, most are business related involving the Post Office, Internal Revenue Office, land transfers, the slate quarry and politics. Financial papers make up the major part of the collection, with deeds to land in Cherokee County (Ga.), which was later divided into Paulding and Polk counties. Several ledgers contain accounts for stores in Rockmart, Van Wert and Blanceville, and two Forrest Hutchings' farm ledgers list accounts for tenants.

The collection consists mainly of correspondence to Conley relating to his business practice, his presidency of the Macon and Augusta Railroad, his participation in the 1867 Constitutional Convention, as Georgia Governor, and as Postmaster of Atlanta. Many letters deal with Georgia reconstruction and politics, Conley's involvement in the Republican Party, and political matters relating to Augusta (Ga.). Correspondents include Foster Blodgett, John S. Bigby, Thomas J. Spear, and business partner B.W. Force.

The collection consists of papers of Henry Pattillo Farrow and Farrow family members from 1855-1937. The papers include correspondence, letter books, newspapers, clippings, printed material, bills, receipts, account books, and photographs. The bulk of the collection relates to Henry Pattillo Farrow and documents his involvement in Republican politics in Georgia during and after Reconstruction; his positions as Georgia Attorney-General, U.S. District Attorney, collector of customs for the Port of Brunswick (Ga.), and as postmaster of Gainesville (Ga.). Materials pertaining to Farrow's administration of the Porter Springs resort Queen of the Mountains include hotel ledgers (1877-1896), account books (1886-1892), registers (1893, 1899), a cash book (1886-1889), a memorandum book (1886-1904), and employees lists (1889-1891). From 1907-1937, the collection consists of business and family correspondence of John A. Whitner (Farrow's son-in-law) and Henry F. Whitner mainly pertaining to the administration of the Queen of the Mountains resort.

The documents relate to the families of George Hull Camp and George H. Keeler. Photographs include a record of Sarah Atwood Camp's travels via steamship; an album of albumen photographs of Florida, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Martinique, Antiqua, St. Thomas, Puerto Rico, and Cuba; and daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, cartes-de-visite, and tintypes of family members.
