Materials also document the development of the road, the frontier postal system, problems with mail delivery, and descriptions of the territory from "Coweta Town to the Tombigby" river, the "high Shoals of Appalachy River on the frontier of Georgia" to Fort Stoddert and the Athens, Georgia vicinity.
