This collection contains a playbill advertising "Love In A Village" and "The Author" for December 11, 1790 by Theatre Royal,
Covent Garden in London. The playbill notes that the performances were given "by desire of the Cherokee Chiefs" referring
to a delegation of several Cherokee and Creek men led by William Augustus Bowles who traveled to England to seek military
support for a proposed separate Native American state, the Nation of Muskogee, on land in Florida belonging to Spain and the
United States.
