Consists of three letters to William Rush. Two of the letters refer to an advertisement in "The Age," most likely the newspaper of the same name originating in Augusta, Maine. One letter is from W. Sanborn in Liberty, Maine, another from Levi Staples in Sandy Point, Maine, and the final from Elliot Walker in Newport, Maine. All three letters are dated 1860.

The collection consists of five series: administrative records, professional papers, agreements and transactions, correspondence, and other material. Administrative records include documents related to the operating and publishing of GA Trend, the Phenix Citizen, and the Rockdale Citizen among other Grimes Publications productions. Professional papers include material from the Georgia Press Association, which Millard Grimes headed in 1985-1986, drafts and photographs from The Last Linotype: The Story of Georgia and Its Newspapers since World War II, as well as newspaper columns by Grimes and those about his career written by other newspapers. Agreements and transactions includes negotiations and legal documents created during business agreements and transactions between Grimes Publications and other entities. Professional correspondence and other material including photographs and civic engagement complete the collection.

This collection contains a four page newspaper handrwritten by a Confederate prisoner of war at Fort Delaware in Pea Patch Island, Delaware. The newspaper comments on Sherman's March through North Carolina, General Lee's surrender, the assassination of President Lincoln, the author's dislike of President Andrew Johnson, and the price of tobacco and bread in the camp. The first issue of this title is held at the Georgia Historical Society (ms0766).

The collection consists of letters written by Edward Padelford of Savannah, Georgia to Ira Peck of Marion, Twiggs County, Georgia, dated December 1841-December 1842. Two letters are written on the inside pages of the newspaper titled Savannah Shipping and Commercial List, and the remaining letters are written on inside pages of Savannah Republican Prices Current. Correspondence pertains to business matter, including the current market of cotton, rice, molasses, and other commodities; shipping times and schedules; and accounts due or paid. The newspapers themselves list Savannah market conditions for various commodities (cotton, rice, etc.), exchange and freight rates, list of vessels in ports, and vessel departures and arrivals.

This collection consists of materials that Conrad Fink either created or collected during his lifetime of news reporting and teaching journalism at UGA. Included are numerous articles that he summited to the Associated Press (AP) while covering Asia during the mid-1960s along with general interest stories about the U.S. written for the AP during the 1980s to 2000s. There is information about various newspapers around the country, their daily workings and the owners of these papers. There are also documents (1977-2011) related to the classes that Fink taught and the speeches that he presented along with galleys, reviews and other materials connected to books that he authored. In addition, the collection holds a large amount of both his professional and personal correspondence dating from the 1980s to 2011.

The collection consists a Klode Kard (songs), petition for citizenship in the Invisible Empire, oath of allegiance, by-laws form for local chapters, and The Klansman (August 1, 1948). Pamplets include "American's take Heed!" (1920), "The Ku Klux Ball : a satire on the younger set," "KKKK : why, what, how, who, and you" and a picture postcard with an illustration of banner used by the Ku Klux Klan. A program for "Polly with a Past : a comedy in three acts" (1923) by the Marionettes of Georgia Tech includes an advertisement for the Ku Klux Klan.

Montgomery Curtis, a close friend and former vice-president at Knight-Ridder Newspapers, Inc. Contains correspondence, documents, and articles from both Don and Carolyn's careers in journalism and photojournalism and also reflects their lifelong close relationship with the Henry W. Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Collection consists of many letters and other materials showing their involvement in politics, namely Jimmy Carter's tenure as Governor of Georgia and his presidency.

The collection consists of letters, cartes-de-visite (most unidentified), biographical information on Rachel Gunby Jordan and Eugene P. Burnett, printed material, Confederate money, clippings, and locks of hair. The main portion of the collection consists of letters written to Delia D. Jordan in Sparta, Georgia, from her fiance Eugene Paul Burnett during the Civil War. His letters describe daily camp life, his duties as Inspector General, and details of battles as he moved through South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, and North Carolina. There are also letters from Delia's brothers, William Franklin Jordan, Robert Pierpont Jordan, and George Gunby Jordan. Also in the collection is a photograph of General Robert E. Lee and an Augusta newspaper, Daily Constitutionalist, from July 3, 1862. The newspaper contains descriptions of the current battles and lists of wounded men, including W.F. Jordan.
