Consists of a letter written by Charles S. Dickinson, an inventor from Cleveland, Ohio, to Governor Joseph E. Brown of Georgia
regarding a new centrifugal machine gun as well as a "steam wagon" Dickinson had invented for use in combat. Dickinson offered
his inventions to the Confederate military and even suggested he visit Georgia and build his machines for military service.
The second page of the letter includes two newspaper clippings covering the gun from The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, Ohio and
Capital City Fact in Columbus, Ohio.

artillery sabres. It also contains personal mention of Mrs. Campbell and her small child who are visiting with the Browns,
relaying her messages to her husband.
