The collection consists of one dis-bound scrapbook containing several thousand prescriptions pasted onto the volume's pages.
Some prescriptions are blank. Most prescriptions contain names of doctors and druggists in and around Macon, Georgia. Drugstores
include John Ingalls, Apothecary, Rankin, Massenburg & Co., and others.
The volume has sustained major water damage, and several dates are faded and unidentifiable. Prescriptions appear to date
1870-1879.

Carhart, an older relative of Elijah Carhart. Items listed are perishable goods, including coffee, tea, tobacco, and liquor,
named along with prices, clients and locations that include Macon, Savannah, and New York.

The collection consists of two typewritten reports, "A historical sketch of the evolution of trade and transportation at Augusta,
Ga." and "A historical sketch of the evolution of trade and transportation at Macon, Ga.," were presented by E. H. Hinton,
chairman, The Southeastern Freight Association, at the meeting of executive officers, 17-18 January 1912, at the Hotel Belleview,
Bellair, Florida. The reports chronicle in great depth the development of commercial interests in these two Georgia cities.
Each report also contains "A synopsis of the rate adjustment from the East."
