The collection consists of a diary kept by Vincent F. Trago during his services with Company I of the 15th Ohio Infantry Regiment
in 1864. Trago describes actions during the Atlanta Campaign, trading with Confederate soldiers at Kennesaw during a lull
in battle, and casualties and burials at Pickett's Mill, Georgia. Some diary entries may have been written by Hugh L. Long,
of the same unit. The collection also contains papers relating to reunions of the 15th Ohio dating 1900-1904.

The collection consists of the papers of John Mackey Brown from 1865-1930. Consists mostly of correspondence regarding the
publication of his book on the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain; official correspondence relating to his service on the Railroad

to family lawsuits over the estate of his father, Joseph Emerson Brown. The collection also contains two letter books (1894-1895,
1908-1910) of Julius Lewis Brown pertaining to personal and business matters.

The collection consists of the papers of the Branch family of Savannah, Georgia from 1830-1961. The bulk of the collection
consists of correspondence between Charlotte Sawyer Branch and her sons John L., Sanford W., and Hamilton McDevil Branch,
who served mainly in the 8th Georgia Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
The letters describe the 1st Battle of Bull Run, the death of John, the subsequent capture of Sanford (who had stayed with
his dying brother), the Seven Days Battle, the 2nd Battle of Bull Run, and the Battle of Gettysburg, where Sanford was wounded
and captured again. Hamilton transferred to the 54th Georgia Infantry Regiment and writes about the regiment's involvement
in the Atlanta Campaign, particularly the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. He also writes from Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee
while serving with Nathan Bedford Forrest.
