Pope Stanley's diary (1862) and prayer book, Marcellus Stanley's bankbooks, genealogies of Pope, Stanley, and Strong families,
the eulogy for Emma Louise Stanley Winbish, the Strong family Bible, poems, muster rolls, and other papers. Included are two
bound volumes of sheet music once kept by Julia Pope, two diplomas and two certificates.

The collection consists of a family record album, and two family scrapbooks. The family record album contains genealogy of
the family names Porter, King, Strobhar and Habersham. The album held numerous loose papers consisting of clipping, photographs,
correspondence, printed material and genealogy information. Ancestors of Bunnie Cox include Roswell King (founder of Roswell,
Georgia) and Revolutionary War Major John Habersham. The two family scrapbooks are an engagement and wedding scrapbook of
Flora Middlebrooks Cox and a child's picture scrapbook made by LaNette Hillsman Middlebrooks.

The collection consists of correspondence, genealogical information, writings, financial papers, printed material, scrapbooks,
photographs, deeds, and transcripts and copies of historical documents. Much of the Craig Barrow correspondence deals with
his involvement with the Savannah Boxing Commission, Savannah Golf Club, Central of Georgia Railway, and the University of
Georgia Alumni Society. The family correspondence contains letters regarding the Barrow property called the Home Place in
Oglethorpe County, Georgia. There is much emphasis on Savannah, the Wormsloe estate, and Georgia history in both printed material
and photographs. A large section of the financial papers concerns the real estate owned by the Barrows in Savannah and details
the sale, rental, and management of the properties.

This collection contains genealogical research materials on the Vaughn, Clark, Read, and associated families, and that of
other Twiggs and Oglethorpe County families. It has correspondence between Francis G. Clark and Bessie Vaughn Clark during
their college courtship and through the first few years of their marriage, often referencing employment difficulties during
the Depression. Other correspondence includes letters to and from Francis Clark, Jr. during his time aboard the USS Abiity
in the early 1960s. There are a number of Civil War letters from members of the Read family as well. Also included are notes,
copies, photographs, legal documents, and narratives.

The collection consists of papers of John Brown Gordon and the Gordon family from ca. 1841-1979. Papers relating to John
Brown Gordon include correspondence, writings, photographs, and scrapbooks. The correspondence (1861-1930) consists of letters
written to his wife, Fanny Haralson Gordon, mainly while Gordon was serving in the Confederate Army in the states of Virginia,
Pennsylvania, and Maryland; letters (1864-1870) from Robert E. Lee; and correspondence to and from his family while he was
serving as a United States Senator in Washington. Other Gordon family members represented in the papers include Hugh Haralson
Gordon, Caroline Lewis Gordon, and Lewis Gordon. The collection contains an interesting set of letters (1941-1948) to and
from Rev. John Dawson Gordon, whose parents were enslaved by, and later, servants of the Gordon family from 1854 until they
moved to California in the 1890s.
The collection also contains papers relating to the Haralson family, consisting mainly of correspondence (1841-1851) between
Hugh A. Haralson, while serving in the U.S. Congress, and his wife, Caroline Lewis Haralson, and their daughters Elizabeth,
Fanny, and Caroline. Mrs. Haralson's letters to her husband provide an indepth look at her management of their plantation
in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia, while her husband was away from home. The collection also contains genealogical materials
relating to the Gordon, Haralson, Hodgson, Howard, and Lewis families.
