Broad, dated February 18, 1837; certificate signed by Robert E. Lee that articles were received for the improvement of the harbor of St. Louis, circa 1838; correspondence to Thomas Gilbert of Columbus, Georgia, from Alexander H. Stephens, regarding Miscellanies of Georgia; and correspondence to Captain John H. Martin from Jefferson Davis regarding the cane Martin gave Davis, dated January 9, 1887. The collection also includes an etched portrait of Andrew Jackson, and engraved portraits of Thomas Jefferson and Robert E. Lee.
