The collection consists of letters written by Edward James to his wife Elizabeth Harrell James in Fitzgerald, Georgia, before and after they were married. The letters give details of the camps, towns where he was stationed, his bombardier training, and the bombing missions. He gives descriptive details of the Okinawan people, houses, crops, and typhoons. The letters to his wife are both romantic and sexually explicit. The correspondence consists mainly of letters between family members, and the personal and business correspondence of Byron Herbert Reece, some were written to him when he was a tuberculosis patient at Battey State Hospital in Rome, Georgia. After Reece's suicide in 1958, much of the correspondence of Eva Mae Reece pertains to memorials to her brother Byron Herbert Reece and copyright renewals of his works.

The collection consists of biographical information, correspondence, writings, research, and photographs. Majette's only published work (1924) was White Blood, which dealt with race relations. Mistress of a Thousand Slaves is based on the life of Fanny Kemble. Research for the book includes a letter written by Fanny Kemble. Daughters of Men is about Indian tribes on the Sea Islands when the Spanish first came to Georgia. Please God... closely follows Majette's life story. Her writings also include children's stories and poems, some of which are in a scrapbook she made for her granddaughter in 1929.

The collection consists of many folders of loose material including clippings, letters, drawings of Epps planes, writings, and photographs. Of particular note are several good aerial views of Athens and the University of Georgia (circa 1920-1930s). Also of interest are several pages of reminiscences by Ben Epps, Jr., in which he writes about his early life and flying. Additional material received in 2002 includes flight manuals, membership cards, transcripts of interviews, etc. The most important item in this collection is a scrapbook (1904-1963) which documents Epps' life as a builder and flyer of airplanes. Included are over 200 photographs, as well as some clippings and letters. A few photographs, etc. can be found here of other pilots, planes, and Epps' children who were also flyers.

The collection consists of correspondence written by Nunnally Johnson, clippings and other documents. The earliest letter, dating from December 1946 (only "Tuesday" appears in the heading), is written on Johnson's personalized stationery and addressed to movie columnist Louella Davis. Johnson discusses the Christmas party he hosted and thanks Louella for her mention of The Dark Mirror in Cosmopolitan. Two of the letters, both from April 1952, are written to director George Cukor regarding the casting and filming of Daphne du Maurier's My Cousin Rachel. Another letter, dated January 22, 1958, is written to Jimmy Starr concerning the Academy Awards and Joanne Woodward. There is a series of personal letters between Johnson and his friend, director, and author Robert Parrish from the 1970s. There is a also a letter to Leon Jaworski, U. S. Special Prosecutor during Watergate, in which Johnson gives his opions on a suitable punishment for President Nixon.

The collection consists of material covering Del Ward's years in radio and television up until about 1997. Included are awards, letters, printed material, scripts, guest registers, photographs, slides, and writings. Many of the letters are from her guests and people who listened to or watched her shows. The photographs include publicity shots and images of her in the studio, interviewing celebrities on her show as well as in other places (including the Star Weekend in Atlanta), and reporting at local events.
