The collection consists of one form letter written on stationary crested with lion and unicorn and "Dieu et Mon Droit," "Honi
Suit qui mal y pense," "Windsor Castle": to "Soldiers of the United States," signed "George R. I.," dated April 1918, in which
King George V of England welcomes soldiers "to take your stand beside the armies of many Nations now fighting in the Old World
the great battle for human freedom." The collection also includes a photocopy of a document explaining how a letter of King
George V "was reproduced, and copies still plague many of the unwary."
