The collection is two letters regarding the donation of the Flisch family Bible. The bible was presented to the University of Georgia Libraries by Julia A. Flisch, July 5, 1940. The Bible is bound in calf with leather clasps and reinforced on the corners with small brass plates, and is written in the Romansh language. The Bible is housed in the rare book collection: La S. This collection contains approximately 40 wartime letters written by the Blasingame family, including Confederate soldiers with the 54th Georgia Infantry. Civil War letters originate from the front lines in Richmond, Virginia, and Savannah, Atlanta, Fort Macon, and Marrieta, Georgia. This grouping includes a partly-printed parole for John S. Blasingame out of Macon, 1865, in which Blasingame is sworn under oath not to bear arms against the United States of America, give any information, or do any military duty whatsoever until regularly exchanged as a prisoner of war. Other materials in the collection include family correspondence from 1893-1894 and 1909 and 2 small photographs.

A post card collection has items sent to Lucy Howard and purchased items, business and legal papers, a copy of a sketch of Cobb Legion Cavalry, photographs of Lucy Howard, and family bibles. Two oversized folders contain a Callaway Family diagram and a large, framed photograph.

The collection consists of genealogies, family trees, pedigrees, newspaper clippings, articles, pictures, and other materials related to the Aspinwall family. These include copies of Peter Aspinwall and his Descendants, by Algernon Aikin Aspinwall, 1901; The Aspinwall and Aspinall Families of Lancashire. A. D. 1189-1923, by Henry Oswald Aspinwall, 1923; and The Aspinwall Story, by Willie Mae Aspinwall Youmans. There are also two unfinished manuscripts by Dr. Kathryn Blake, a descendant of the family: 1.) The Handbook of Research, Development and Evaluation in Special Education; and 2.) The Law and the Handicapped. There are numerous writings by Dr. Blake in the collection, as well as some other material, such a charts and a poster.
