The collection consists of one letter dated Paris, September 1, 1830, "Monsieur [Mr. Thomasson]", vice consul in Savannah, signed Molé, requesting that the vice consul comply with Louis Philippe's new law requiring all public officials to swear allegiance to the new regime and the new constitution and its laws.
