The collection consists of papers of the Thomas Jones family of Thomas County, Georgia from 1819-1889. Thomas Jones' papers include lists of taxable property (slaves, land, livestock, and equipment); indentures; and receipts for the purchase of slaves (names of enslaved people include Adam, a carpenter, Charles, Randal, John, Betsy, Nancy, Abram, Ann, Eliza, Sam, Ned, Bob, Lucy, Cherry, Nelson, Charlott, Robert, Lindy, and Mary). Letters are from Henry Francis Jones to his sister, and between Edwin T. Davis and Mattie Davis; and regard battles, military strategy, and military life. Papers of E.T. Davis concern Davis's military services, and include diary entries with regard to his service with the Dixie Boys of Company A, 57th Georgia Infantry Regiment. The collection also includes plats, indentures, and writs regarding land in Georgia, mainly Irwin and Thomas counties, and a portrait of Thomas Jones.

Playbills for the Theater an der Wien (Vienna, Austria) and Theater in der Leopoldstat (Vienna, Austria) under the directorship of Karl Carl [Bernbrunn] from July-December 1843. The playbills document the theaters program including the name of the production and the cast. Some playbills list performances for both theaters. The collection also contains playbills for the Stadttheater in Riga for December 27, 1838, January 12, 1839, and February 21, 1840. These playbills are all combined into one bound book.

Of these 64 are signed, several with personal inscriptions to fellow performers: Mr. and Mrs. Nat Clifford, Lally Clifford, and Harry Banford. Some of the notable actors are Vesta Tilley, Hetty King, and Little Tich. There are two contracts between Harry Banford, acting as agent for the Theatre Royal, Guildford, and the Brothers Ford (1914). Also, six playbills describe variety bills featuring Harry Banford and lesser known performers.
