Consists of one letter from Fannie Hansell to Louisa Young Jones on March 13, 1864 from Oglethorpe, Macon County, Georgia. Jones was the sister of General Pierce Manning Butler Young. The letter discusses Camp Sumter, or Andersonville Prison Camp. She describes the miserable conditions and notes that many prisoners are "constantly" trying to escape.

Although undated, the letter is believed to be from 1864 because this was the only time during the Civil War that the Troup Artillery was stationed at Raccoon Ford. In the letter, Oliver writes about missing home, daily activities, and the his duties as chaplain of his unit.

This collection consists of one handwritten manuscript map of the seat of the Second Seminole War in the Okefenokee Region. The map is believed to have been created by Major Greenleaf Dearborn, a commanding officer who participated in General Charles Rinaldo Floyd's campaign through the region in November 1838. The map's primary feature is the location of a number of named and unnamed forts surrounding the Okefenokee Swamp and the location of the route of Captain Benjamin Lloyd Beall and his detachment of soldiers in September 1838.
