The collection consists of the papers of Wesley Thomas Hargrett from 1889-1919. The materials pertain to business operations of various Georgia railway companies and includes contracts, correspondence, sketches, and printed materials. Topics covered include proposals to extend and connect the Gulf Line Railway Company (Ga.) and the Hawkinsville and Western Railway Company (Ga.) lines; agreements for right of ways between Tifton, Georgia and the Georgia Southern and Florida Railroad Company; and business activities of the Brunswick and Western Railroad Company (Ga.); Central of Georgia Railway; Savannah, Florida, and Western Railway; and the Tifton & North Western Railroad Company. Additional materials include articles of incorporation, financial accounts, and a list of stockholders for the Tifton (Ga.) Educational Fund; photographs of Tifton, Georgia; railway passes issued to Wesley T. Hargrett (1909-1918); and railroad pamphlets.

The Edd Winfield Parks collection consists mainly of Parks' manuscripts, research notes, and correspondence with publishers and universities. While five of his published books are included in the collection, most of the manuscripts are in typescript and range from the 1930s through the 1960s. Some manuscripts are hand-written and show his revisions. Parks' research notes are almost entirely on notecards, though they remain unsorted in the majority of boxes. The final six boxes are processed and organized by magazine. Correspondence with publishers and universities about his work and career exist throughout the collection. The only personal materials in the collection are Parks' World War II service materials and his passport collection. Otherwise, the collection centers around his literary work and the research done for his books.

This collection contains papers documenting both Hunt's professional and personal life. Architectural material includes blueprints, project files, contracts, photographs, correspondence, maps, and design samples on a variety of residential, civic, commercial, and public housing projects throughout the Southeastern United States, but with a strong emphasis on North Georgia and upstate South Carolina. Personal papers include Clemson University correspondence, military documents, and travel memorabilia. Correspondence, newsletters, invitations, and certificates from Hunt's membership in various organizations: AIA, Georgia Council AIA, North Georgia Chapter AIA, AIA College of Fellows, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Elberton-Elbert County Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary Club. There is also political correspondence with Georgia Democratic candidates and politicians, most notably President Jimmy Carter, including personal correspondence, fundraising information, and campaign material from Carter's term as governor of Georgia as well as the 1976 and 1980 presidential elections.

The collection consists of correspondence from McCanless during his military service with the U.S. Army in World War II, to his father Leo McCanless, his stepmother Kathleen McCanless, and his Aunt Inez Doss, all of Canton, Georgia. From August 1942 - June 1944 McCanless wrote from various military training camps in the United States describing his training activities, the areas, and news of family and friends. After June 1944, McCanless wrote from England, France, Belgium, and Germany. His letters describe his trip overseas, the English countryside, the destruction in France, United Service Organization Shows, prices for commodities, V-E day and peace, his opinion of the German people, his duties questioning Germans to determine their role in the war, and his participation in the Normandy invasion and the destruction and casualties from the battle.

The collection consists of letters, deeds, plats, insurance policies, canceled checks, receipts, and other papers concerning the Rountree family that lived in the vicinity of Twin City, Georgia (formerly Graymont and Summit). Included are a few papers regarding the service of Dent Rountree in World War I. Also there are a number of colorful cards, dating from the early 1900's, that advertise businesses in the Georgia towns of Graymont, Augusta, Macon, and Atlanta and several towns outside of Georgia.

The collection consists of correspondence, mainly from Daniel Butterfield Pease, to members of his family in Maine while serving with Company G of the 12th Maine Infantry Regiment from 1864-1866. Pease's letters were written from Camp Coburn, Maine; Galloups Island, Massachusetts; and Augusta, Savannah, and Thomasville, Georgia and contain descriptions of the different areas, his duties, the Civil War, and peace-keeping activities during Reconstruction. The collection also contains a few letters from Pease's brothers, Dixon and Plummer.

The collection consists of correspondence, financial papers, photographs, speeches and writings, and printed material arranged in alphabetical order by name or subject. Although the bulk of the material concerns Caldwell's career, some are paersonal and family papers and consist of correspondence with his parents, his brother Alvin, and various aunts, uncles and cousins, including Hattie Dunlop who apparently suffered from paranoia. The farm papers deal with a house and land in Meriwether County that had been in the Caldwell family for many years. Caldwell took it over in 1940, made many improvements, and considered it his legal residence. Boxes 48-50 contain Caldwell's personal financial papers. Of special interest are the Board of Regents papers; Walter Cocking controversy, Ty Cobb and the Cobb Educational Foundation; Berry College papers; the Wallace Butts football scandal; and the papers of the colleges and universities in the University System of Georgia with their various achievements or problems. Correspondents include Omer Clyde Aderhold, Walter Blackstock, Callaway family (Pine Mountain, Ga.), Lamar Dodd, Stewart Gelders, Hodgson family (Athens, Ga.), Joseph Winthrop Holley, John Alton Hosch, Lucy Stanley MacArthur, Moina Michael, Jonathan Clark Rogers, Steadman Vincent Sanford, Hughes Spalding, and Herman Talmadge.

The collection consists of three letterbooks and one account book of the Denison family. The letterbook of Gideon Denison and his brother, Ezra Denison (1791-1792) contains letters regarding trade business with merchants in Augusta, Ga., Baltimore, Md., Charleston, S.C., London, England, and Philadelphia, Pa. Letters also concern cargo shipments, purchase of ships, and slave trade. The letterbook of Gideon Denison (1797-1799) contains letters describing his voyage to England, the sale of land in North Carolina and Tennessee, Indian treaties, and financial problems. Gideon Denison's account book (1796-1799) contains entries pertaining to the management of Gideon's farm in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Entries regard accounts for free and slave labor; purchases of livestock, slaves, food and clothing; and taxes. Henry Denison's letterbook (1801-1802) contains business letters relating to settling the estates of Ezra and Gideon, as well as personal family correspondence.
