The Hargrett Library focuses on the evolving history and culture of Georgia and its peoples.

The Historic Clothing and Textile Collection is a study collection of over 3000 garments, accessories, and textiles that date from the 1800s to the 1990s. This collection includes women's, men's, and children's clothing, hats, shoes, and jewelry, as well as quilts and coverlets from the 19th century. In addition to clothing and textile artifacts, the collection also contains pictorial items that represent historic dress of the mid-19th through 20th centuries, such as magazines, including Godey's and Vogue, as well as authentic photographs.

The Richard B. Russell Library is a congressional and political archive documenting public policy, activism, and advocacy in modern Georgia (1900-present). It holds the records of former US Senator and members of Congress, state legislators, governors, political parties, political action groups, journalists, and political scientists.

The University of Georgia Archives preserve over two centuries of the University's history in the form of official records, images, plans, publications and artifacts. Our mission is to acquire, organize, preserve and publicize such materials and to assist researchers in their use.
