The collection consists of an account book of Isaac Hughes for a general store located in Goshen, Georgia from February 1817-November 1818. Entries contain the date, item purchased, amount, and price for household and farm supplies, sewing items, cloth, food staples, liquor, and books.

The collection consists of business items relative to matters in Nova Scotia and pertaining to Isaac Rayne and James N. Shannon: one business letter addressed to Isaac Rayne, dated Halifax, December 20, 1826, from James N. Shannon; invoices; and one court decree (1835). It also contains miscellaneous newspaper items including front pages of: The Universal instructor in all arts and sciences: and Pennsylvania gazette (December 24, 1728, reprint); The Free South (Newport, KY, Friday, May 27, 1859); The New York herald (April 15, 1865).

The collection consists of a daybook of Isaac R. Gifford from 1818-1820. Entries include customer transactions from Gifford's store in Savannah, Georgia, and commentaries regarding the weather, militia, day-to-day activities, and a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. The daybook also includes information pertaining to Gifford's business interests in Massachusetts and New York.

The collection consists of papers of Captain Isaac S. Vincent from 1837-1839. Papers include correspondence, military orders, provision returns, and a muster roll (May 14, 1838) relating to Vincent's command of the 1st Regiment of Georgia Volunteers while stationed at Cedar Town, Georgia during the removal of the Cherokee Indians from Georgia. The provision returns (1838) are for both troops and Indian prisoners.
