Iêda de Barros Siqueira Wiarda holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Florida. She is a scholar of Latin American and Brazillian relations as well as women's health in Latin American. In 2006 became the Luso-Brazil Specialist in the Hispanic Division at the lIbrary of Congress. Her late husband, Howard, was the founding head of the Department of International Affairs at the University of Georgia. Her collection consists of publications and research on her native Brazil and Latin America in general, as well as an oral history documenting her own research.

Series IV. Governor of Georgia, Subseries A. Campaign includes opposition files, voter surveys, lists of contributors, debate research, memoranda, travel schedules, press releases, and chronologies, which are condensed compilations of clippings that document issues and events of which Miller was a part.

Douglas Richard Hatch is a retired math teacher and disability rights advocate. He was selected to carry the Olympic torch through Athens, GA in the lead-up to the 1996 Atlanta Games. He was also an organizer for the 1996 Paralympic Games torch relay and was part of the Paralympics Speaker's Bureau. This collection documents his disability work at UGA and his work with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
