Abstract Or Scope:

The televison entries series of the Peabody Awards include entry forms, scrapbooks, photographs, abstracts, scripts, and press kits documenting the majority of the entries from 1947 to 2011. Each entry includes the broadcaster, city and state, title of the program, and a description of the contents of the submission.

Abstract Or Scope:
The Office Administration Series consists of agency, personnel, campaign, and political files, and projects Stuckey was involved with during his service in Congress. Included is correspondence, reports, printed materials, maps and legislative bills. This series provides insight into Stuckey's dealings with individuals, both colleagues and constituents, on various issues of the day. Topics include: Cumberland Island and the Okefenokee Swamp project; expanding Atlanta's airport to include international flights to Europe and the Pacific region; Corps of Engineers' work on the Satilla and Altamaha Rivers; Vietnam conflict and Lt. William Calley's case; and impeachment of President Richard Nixon.

Dean Rusk Personal Papers, Series II: U.S. Secretary Of State, Department Of State includes transcripts of addresses, interviews, statements, press releases, and speeches that Dean Rusk gave during his tenure as Secretary of State. Researchers may be interested in statements by Rusk on the deaths of various famous figures in the world of politics and foreign affairs including President Herbert Hoover, King Mohamed V of Morocco, Adlai E. Stevenson, Sir Winston Churchill and Robert F. Kennedy. Opening and closing remarks on numerous foreign relations events, such as the meetings of the US-Japan Committee on Economics and Trade, and the SEATO [Southeast Asia Collective Defense Treaty] conference in 1961, the Geneva Disarmament Conference in 1962, and meetings over the Dominican Republic Crisis with the OAS [Organization of American States] in 1965, can also be found here. There are several copies of congressional testimonies by Dean Rusk given between 1949 and 1979. Also, a small group of files consisting of articles that Dean Rusk designated for his "personal papers" upon leaving the office of Secretary of State. Topics covered in these files include Vietnam, the effect of student activism on international relations, the Berlin Crisis of 1961-1964, the role of analogy in law, Rusk's success over nuclear nonhappening, foreign travel by the Secretary of State, and the National Academy of Sciences. Certain records relating to the Palestine question were maintained in the offices of Dean Rusk and Robert McClintock, these records exist on microfilm.

Abstract Or Scope:

The collection consists of photographs which depict all aspects of the granite industry. Included are numerous images of quarries as well as internal and external views of granite finishing plants and companies. There are also photographs of granite products (buildings, monuments, memorials), conferences, conventions, tours, views of Elberton and the surrounding area, and also several photographs of the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Besides the 17 boxes of photographs there are also three boxes of negatives and one box of slides. Also in the collection are a few diplomas and grade sheets (1924-1926) which belonged to Ambrosini Dante.
