The collection consists of a handwritten manuscript of talks given by the author regarding the care of small gardens. Topics covered include soil quality, tools for gardening, plant development, and plant disease, and many entries have colored pictures of plants pasted in. The manuscript is signed "A. Nicolas" and dated 1894. A search of society records indicates that the author may be Alfred Nicolas.

The collection consists of the transcript of an oral expository by Olin Talley McIntosh. The narrative discusses the history and fortunes of the McIntosh family in McIntosh County, Georgia during the Colonial, Civil War, and post-Civil War periods. Topics include the influx of corrupt Carpetbaggers, apologist accounts of slavery and the advent of the Klu Klux Klan (sic), and the harsh conditions of poverty and rampant joblessness in the South directly following the Civil War.

The collection consists of one theatrical souvenir album celebrating the one hundredth performance of The Two Orphans at the Union Square Theatre (March 27, 1875). The album, in green tooled leather with a metal clasp, contains twelve original card photographs of cast members. The photographs were taken by Sarony and the label on the inside front cover reads "Sarony Dramatic Tableaux 1875."

State of Georgia v. Ulysses S. Grant et al, 1867-1868

The collection consists of the Supreme Court Bill The State of Georgia against Ulysses S. Grant, George G. Meade, Thomas H. Ruger, and Charles F. Rockwelll (1868), which presents ousted Georgia Governor Charles J. Jenkins' case against the defendents for illegally seizing the office of the governor and state property. The bill is in the form of a ten page booklet, accompanied by a two page handwritten summons and a handwritten testimony certifying "that the foregoing [bill] is a true copy." Also included is a letter from Charles J. Jenkins, Milledgeville, 1868 January 17, to Thomas Ruger regarding his removal as governor. Another letter by Jenkins, written 1868 January 29, is addressed to all defendents informing them of his plans to file a bill with the Supreme Court.

POPULAR SERIES and AMERICAN VIEWS is printed on the flip side of the stereograph.
