The collection consists of one record book kept by Sanford W. McMullan of Henry County, Georgia to record membership and dues for an unnamed society, possibly a unit of the "Sons of Temperance" (1850-1854). Entries for the Society include person's name, initiation date, dues paid, and occasionally reason for expulsion. A four-page index lists 91 members of the organization in Henry County. Many families were represented by three or more members, including the Crowell, Fargason, Tarpley, Upchurch, and White families.

The collection consists of a record book containing minutes and financial accounts of the Washington County (Ga.) Board of Commissioners for Roads, Public Property and Finance from January, 1898 - October, 1904. The minutes describe the meetings of the board and pertain to activities of the Home for the Poor, the jail, and other public institutions; aid to indigent confederate veterans; the building of public roads or utilities; and appointment of board members. The financial accounts are included with the minutes and contain accounts audited, approved, paid and the names of the payees; poll taxes paid, general taxes paid; and the names of any loan defaulters.

An import-export record book documenting trade of cotton, rice, and lumber from the ports of Charleston (S.C.), Mobile (Ala.), New Orleans (La.) and Savannah (Ga.) to Spain or the West Indies from 1855-1878, 1886-1888. Each entry gives the date of arrival, name and type of ship, name of the captain, port of origin, date of departure, and destination.

The collection consists of three items: two membership lists of Royal Arch Masons, Walton Chapter, No. 40, held at Monroe, Georgia, county of Walton, dated April 27, 1874; one handwritten document containing members present at a meeting and meeting minutes dated December 20, 1892, "Hall of RA Chapter No. 67, Monroe, Georgia," and January 17, 1893, "Hall of Walton Chapter No. 67, RA Masons."

The collection consists of three documents: dated May 20, 1818, indenture between John Lillibridge of Savannah, Georgia, and Warren Lippitt for one lot in the City of Savannah in the New Leeds section; dated May 26, 1832, survey of land in Cherokee County, tract 715, for Warren Lippitt, signed by John Brewster, surveyor general; dated September 5, 1837, grant signed by Governor William Schley for the abovementioned tract in Cherokee County to Warren Lippitt.
