The collection consists of papers of The Regimental Band of the 37th Georgia Volunteer Infantry from 1982-2004. Papers include a photocopy of articles of incorporation (The Confederate Brass, Inc.), brochures, event programs, information regarding their recordings, and three photographs.

The collection consists of papers of the Southern Regional Council regarding Lillian Smith Book Awards ceremonies from the late 1990s-2005. Included are announcements regarding Lillian Smith Book Awards luncheons, announcements of Lillian Smith Book Award competition and invitation for submissions, lists of winners, programs, and table decorations from luncheons.

The collection consists of papers of the Stone family from 1880-1943. Papers include receipts of Mary Stone, promissory notes to William Stone, Georgia State College report cards, and business papers concerning Athens Chronicle and Athens Publishing Company. Volumes included are a cashbook of Athens Weekly Chronicle; cashbook of Hubert Banking Company; and a scrapbook created by Jennie Stone containing a newspaper story by Harry Stillwell Edwards.

The collection consists of five items pertaining to Stephen Vincent Benet: a broadside containing a prayer by Benet, which begins "God of the free," undated; collage containing a photograph of Benet, undated; letter to Benet from Brandt & Brandt regarding permission Benet gave to Mrs. Georgia Marshall Cragin to write a musical composition for Benet's poem O Lordy Jesus, dated December 29, 1939; a copy of the completed project (i.e., O Lordy Jesus! sheet music, with words by Stephen Vincent Benet and music by G. Marshall Cragin); and a copy of a speech written by Benet for a November 20th celebration, Council For Democracy – Committee of Correspondence, circa 1940.

This collection contains Confederate Surgeon Samuel H. Stout's recommendations to the Atlanta Relief Society and a transcription of an excerpt of his memoir that discusses his appointment as medical chief of the Army of Tennessee after the battle of Shiloh.

The collection consists of items relating to William Hope Hodgson. Items include: three Christmas cards (undated), signed "Lissie S. Hodgson"; correspondence to H. C. Hoenig, dated January [4?], 1949, signed "Lissie Hodgson," regarding receipt of a money order from Hoenig; three photographs (undated), two of William Hope Hodgson, and one unknown (possibly Lissie Hodgson); one advertisement for two of Hodgson's books ("Night land" and "Carnacki the ghost-finder"); and biographical information on Hodgson.

The collection consists of photocopies of official notices concerning the end of World War II in the Pacific, 1945. It includes a copy of mimeographed "War extra!!!"

The collection consists of a typescript titled The professor discovers ballads, by Roosevelt Walker. The story concerns an English professor who taught at a college "named for Benjamin Franklin situated in a town whose founders had hopefully called it Athens."

The collection consists of eight scrapbooks of the Mell family from 1857-1916. Scrapbooks contain some memorabilia and correspondence between Mell family members, but mainly contains newspaper clippings relating to Patrick Hues Mell, Jr., and his father, Patrick Hues Mell. Clippings document Mell's involvement with the Georgia and Southern Baptist Conference and as Chancellor of the University of Georgia; and Mell, Jr.'s work at Alabama Polytech Institute (Auburn, Alabama); the United Confederate Veterans, Alabama Division; and the Baptist Church. The scrapbooks also contain clippings relating to Annie R. Mell's involvement in various patriotic societies, including The Daughters of the American Revolution; and clippings concerning other relatives in Athens, Clarke County, Georgia. The collection also includes Mell Jr's class lecture notes on philosophy while attending the University of Georgia.

The collection consists of records of the Patrons of Husbandry, Grange No. 101 (Athens, Ga.) from 1873-1877. Records include a list of life members and dues paid, a roll book containing names of charter members and candidates, and meeting minutes (1873-1877). The collection also includes the original 1873 charter and a membership certificate.
