The collection consists of correspondence, business papers, photographs, articles, scrapbooks, and newspapers all relating to her extensive career. The papers document her career as editor of the Georgia Magazine (1957-1971) and Georgia Life (1974-1980) and her involvement in the Atlanta Branch of National League of American Pen Women, Atlanta Writer's Club, and other civic and historical organizations.

The collection consists of material covering Del Ward's years in radio and television up until about 1997. Included are awards, letters, printed material, scripts, guest registers, photographs, slides, and writings. Many of the letters are from her guests and people who listened to or watched her shows. The photographs include publicity shots and images of her in the studio, interviewing celebrities on her show as well as in other places (including the Star Weekend in Atlanta), and reporting at local events. Also included in the collection is a group of celebrity photographs, many of them autographed.

Other materials include cash books and records from the R. L. Moss estate and minutes and cash book for Georgia Flow and Foundry Co., Inc., 1910-1931, which E. J. and John Boundurant were part of during this period.

The radio entries series of the Peabody Awards include entry forms, scrapbooks, photographs, abstracts, scripts, and press kits documenting the majority of the entries from 1940 to 2011. Each entry includes the broadcaster, city and state, title of the program, and a description of the contents of the submission.

These records document the administration, maintenance, and preservation of the Oconee Hill Cemetery from 1897 to 2014. There are no records created prior to 1897, since they were all destroyed by a fire. The collection consists of administrative files, correspondence, sexton reports, trustee minutes, plot and deed files, financial information, ledgers, and photographs.
