This collection contains a four page newspaper handrwritten by a Confederate prisoner of war at Fort Delaware in Pea Patch Island, Delaware. The newspaper comments on Sherman's March through North Carolina, General Lee's surrender, the assassination of President Lincoln, the author's dislike of President Andrew Johnson, and the price of tobacco and bread in the camp. The first issue of this title is held at the Georgia Historical Society (ms0766).

The majority of the volume contains lists of names and items brought for display at agricultural fairs, including the Brick Store Agricultural Fair held October 24, 1876. Also included are minutes of the society's meetings for April-May, and June of 1873. Laid in the volume are two advertisements of the Gregg Reaper, 1882-1884.
