The Herman E. Talmadge Collection, Subgroup C, Series XII: Related Materials, 1. Photographs consists of over 2,600 unique photographs illustrates the life and career of Senator Talmadge and includes personal photographs as well as those released in public service. Early photographs include images of Talmadge's father, Eugene Talmadge, as a young man in 1910 and span his father's and Herman's political careers.

The collection consists of costume designs by Herbert Norris from 1897-1939. The watercolor designs, signed and dated by the artist, carry annotations giving the historical source of the design, the character, the actor and production for which the costume was intended, and instructions on the construction and wearing of the costume. Many of the designs are for productions of "The Rocklitz" (1931) and "Richard III" (1939).

This collection contains partial sets from three different 18th Century tarot card decks. Two are Italian, one of which contains a signature of the cardmaker Solesio, and the third is French, of the tarot de Marsaille type design originally of Northern Italy.

The promotional/public relations series consists of the general files of the promotions department including advertisements, tear sheets, marketing files, meeting minutes, and correspondence and memoranda. Material related to Arbitron, Pulse, and Nielson ratings and surveys and analysis of programming is also located in this series. The contest files include ad copy for a wide variety of contests, entries, and occassionally photographs of the winners. In 1969, WSB developed the Community Interest Forum, which addressed broader community concerns and these files include meeting minutes, correspondence, and reports.

David H. Gambrell was appointed to the US Senate in 1971 following the death of Richard B. Russell, Jr. He served until 1972, when he was defeated in the Democratic primary by Sam Nunn. This collection holds the records of Gambrell's two years in the Senate, including a large amount of constituent correspondence, voting records, sponsored bills, and committee work.

The Richard B. Russell, Jr. Collection, Subgroup C, Series XV: General is composed mainly of correspondence and printed materials relating to federal agencies and departments. Arrangement is chronological by latest date, and within each year date, file headings are by agency or by subject and arranged alphabetically. Because of the close relationship between the passage of legislation by the Congress and its implementation by the federal government, there is significant overlap between the General series and the Legislative series. Any additional non-textual materials originally filed with papers were removed for preservation purposes and improved access. These materials include photographs, audiovisual items, scrapbooks, vertical files, memorabilia, and books.
