The collection consists of photographs of Josephine Baker, mostly taken in Europe. Included are photographs of Baker while performing, as well as engaging in other public activities. A photograph of the Orchestra of Josephine Baker is also included.

The collection consists of a color art poster depicting Josephine Baker in Un Vent de Folie, a "Hyper-Revue" production at the Folies-Bergere. Baker is depicted in a red and green dancing costume.

The collection consists of a biographical pamphlet and two letters to Liberty County historian, Rev. James Stacy. Both supplement Rev. Stacy's research for a biographical sketch of Joseph Jones. The first, dated 17 June 1895, from J. S. Winn gives much genealogical information. The second, a letter from R. Q. Mallard of 3 December 1895, recounts interestingly much Presbyterian history as well as material on Dr. Jones.

The collection consists of one letter from Joseph LeConte to Judge Eugenius A. Nisbet, dated September 10, 1852, Milledgeville, Georgia. LeConte desired to apply for Dr. Jones' professorship at the University of Georgia, as Dr. Jones was resigning.

The collection consists of a survey of a plat of land drawn by Joseph M. Wyatt of Prophett's District, Newton County, Georgia, consisting of 40 acres in Cherokee County, Georgia, June 2, 1832. Also included is the land grant dated December 1, 1838.

The collection consists of five letters from James S. Powell to his parents in which he writes about classes at the University of Georgia, friends, and acquaintances in Athens. The collection also includes two of Powell's grade sheets from the University.

A letter dated 24 December 1826 to Norman Williams of Woodstock, Vermont, Joseph Thayer of Boston writes for Williams' assistance in matters of account with Joslyn Company also of Woodstock with whom Thayer has entered a contractual relationship. The one-and-one-fourth page letter includes copies of the original bill and other pertinent data.

The collection consists of one letter: dated Griswoldville, November 22, 1864, to "Lt. General W.J. Hardee," signed "Joseph Wheeler, Major General," regarding Wheeler's proposed troop movement toward the Oconee Bridge due to enemy occupation of all roads to Milledgeville, Georgia.

The collection consists of biographical information of Joseph Wiley Reid, and photographs from Reid's service in Japan during World War II. Of particular interest is an autographed photograph of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, and a short note signed by the Carters thanking Reid for his help with Carter's campaign.

The collection consists of two items relating to the Breyfogle family and their experiences fighting in the Civil War: a diary of M. J. Breyfogle from 1864, detailing marching in Scottsboro, Alabama, Dalton, Tunnel Hill, Lafayette, and Henry County, Georgia, describing weather, positions, battles, and skirmishes; a typescript copy of an original letter, dated March 27, 1903, written by J. D. Breyfogle to his sons, detailing battles in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia. The collection also includes a typed genealogy of the Breyfogle family, and six family photographs.
